As the first female oral surgeon to practice in the state of Tennessee, Dr. Cathleen Coyne is proud to have pioneered the way for other women over the past several years.
After completing her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Tufts University/Boston City Hospital in Boston, Dr. Coyne chose to open her practice in Franklin because of its rapid growth as a community and the quality of life it offers. Hoping to improve the overall appearance of a person is her passion, and she finds her work incredibly satisfying.
Dr. Coyne treats every patient as an individual and designs a customized plan of action to meet each patient's specific needs. She focuses on implementing a complete treatment plan for each patient from start to finish, so it is no surprise that much of her business comes from trusted referrals. Her goal is to provide the best surgical care possible in the most welcoming, peaceful environment. The staff is also exceptional at knowing exactly how to make patients feel secure and calm.
Dr. Coyne is equally as passionate about her charitable work with the Interfaith Dental Clinic, whose mission is to restore, protect and improve the oral health of uninsured, low-income working people, children and elderly in the greater Nashville area. Not only does Dr. Coyne donate many evening and weekend hours to the clinic, she also serves as a member of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Coyne is board certified and is an active participant in local, state and national organizations including the Nashville Dental Society and the Tennessee State Oral Surgery Society.
